The evidence for mindfulness and yoga education programs to transform cultures in community and clinical settings has been emerging for the past 20 years. The evidence has been documented in published research studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of manualized education programs (e.g., Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction), and thanks to social media platforms we are well informed on the positive impact of choosing to adopt mind-body awareness training to improve our cognitive functioning, reduce stress, manage symptoms of depression and anxiety; and improve our physical mobility.
With all of this information, it can be overwhelming to understand where to begin and how to integrate mindfulness and yoga education to an existing organizational framework, and how to sustain it.
The goal of this webpage, is to curate resources that may aid you in your search as an educator or other professional to plan the launch of your yoga and mindfulness education program. The size of your organization is not a barrier. The resources below are for individual practice, for integration within a system, or for a start-up enterprise.
